The Cat Just Jumped Up on the Bed and is Fondling My Leg

The reasons I shouldn't have gone to institute on Wednesday:

  • I got lost driving to the hardware store that morning. The hardware store is located in the town I live in.

  • Institute is located in Cambridge, a neighboring town.

  • There isn't a grid system in New England. The roads were made by cows trying to find their pastures.

  • I've been driving a stick shift for about a week. I avoid parking next to anybody and now more than ever, search for the pull-through spots (Sarah).

  • It was raining.

  • By the time I left institute, it would be dark.

But hey, no parents! so I went anyways. Laurie gave me directions from the house to the T Station which I thought, I followed perfectly, until I ended up on the same road I started on. Alas, I plugged on and eventually got on the freeway and to the station without making a phone call.
I got on the T, aka the subway eat fresh, and texted my parents because I was so pleased I got there all by myself.
A young gentleman entered the T and sat across from me. After about 5 minutes of pretending to go through a series of important text messages on my phone, I looked up and told him how proud I was for getting to the T station by myself. His name is Tim and I told him he was my first friend I made in Boston.
Tim helped me get off at the right stop and pointed me in the right direction of Brattle Street.
It was then I realized, I didn't know what the complete address of the institue building. So I called Pomputron to confirm, 99 Brattle Street.
I was an hour late and missed the lesson completely, but I was just in time for going around the table to introduce ourselves. One guy competed in a yo-yoing contest. He's the real deal and had a yo-yo on him to prove it.
After that, more socializing+apples and a group of four boys escorted me back to the T station. They told me it was on the way to the restaurant they were going to eat at. Saw right through that one.
I rode the T back without Tim.
I searched for the car for about 5 minutes.
Once in the car I searched for the parking ticket for about 7 minutes.
I then searched for the button to turn on lights of the car for about 10 minutes, when I came to the conclusion that maybe the car has to be moving in order for lights to turn on. So I drove to the parking toll booth and pulled up to a nice Indian woman.
The nice Indian woman has crazy eyes. They looked in different directions but when I asked her if she knew where the lights were in my car, she gladly hung out of her toll booth and tried all the buttons on my dashboard. She found them, crazy eyes and all.
One of the girls at institute gave me directions as to how to get back to Lexington and around 9:30 that night, I returned home.
Bingo.
